Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1958, it aims to help people explore and enjoy the Shropshire Hills, and inspire them to connect with and care for this landscape. They also offer grants through the Shropshire Hills Conservation Fund for projects that conserve, enhance, and raise awareness of the area, and administer a Defra funding programme for farmers and land managers within the Shropshire Hills National Landscape.
