Hills Ford Stages Rally Festival Comes to Weston Park One of Shropshire's newest sporting events roars into life on Saturday 19 September as the inaugural Hills Ford Stages Rally Festival arrives at Weston Park. The Rally Festival forms the opening day of the Hills Ford Stages Rally weekend, beginning with the ceremonial start in Shrewsbury before around 150 rally crews head to Weston Park to tackle four spectacular special stages, including the famous Weston Park Water Splash, with almost five hours of thrilling rally action. There's much more than motorsport too. Visitors can enjoy local trade stands, food and refreshments, family attractions, the PATHWAYS – Discover Motorsport education zone, the DriveWize road safety initiative, and opportunities to meet the volunteers who make rallying possible. The rally continues on Sunday 20 September with a full day of closed-road competition across five stages in South Shropshire, each run twice. Competitors from eight championships will battle for victory, from iconic historic rally cars to the latest Rally2 machinery. Several championships feature double-header rounds, while others will crown their national champions at the Hills Ford Stages. As a not-for-profit event, spectator parking at Weston Park is managed by local charities and community groups, with all parking donations going directly to support their work.
