How to claim your business on Shropshire Pages

Claiming lets an authorised owner or manager take control of an existing business profile, improve the information customers see and manage the listing after manual approval.

Claim process

1

Open your listing

Use the directory search or the link in your email to open the business profile. Imported listings are clearly shown as unclaimed until an authorised person submits a claim.

2

Start the free claim

Select the claim button on the profile. The form asks for your name, role, email, phone number, website and any proof that helps us confirm you manage the business.

3

Confirm you are authorised

Claims must come from someone who owns, manages or is authorised to represent the business. A business-domain email address or matching website usually helps us review faster.

4

Wait for manual review

Every claim is checked by a person before access is granted. This protects local businesses from unauthorised edits and keeps the directory accurate.

5

Complete your profile

Once approved, you can manage richer profile details such as photos, opening hours, services, social links, offers and local engagement stats.

Ready to start?

Search for your business, open the profile and use the claim button. If it is not listed yet, send a free listing request instead.

FAQ

Is claiming a business listing free?

Yes. Claiming a standard business listing on Shropshire Pages is free. Paid advertising and featured placement options are separate and optional.

Why is my business already listed?

Some unclaimed listings are created from publicly available business information so local residents can find useful services. They are not marked as verified, registered or partnered unless the owner has actually claimed or verified them.

Who can claim a listing?

A listing can be claimed by the business owner, a manager or someone authorised to maintain the business profile.

What proof should I provide?

Useful proof includes a business-domain email address, your role at the business, the official website or a short note explaining how you are connected to the business.

How long does review take?

Most straightforward claims are reviewed manually within a few business days. Complex cases can take longer if ownership or authorisation is unclear.

Can I update or remove a listing instead?

Yes. If you do not want to claim the profile, you can request corrections or removal from the business profile page.
